What we collect and why

Quote requests. When you send a quote request, we collect the details you enter, such as your name, company, email address, phone number, the products and quantities you are interested in, delivery postcode and any notes. We use them to reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.

AI chat assistant. The messages you type in the chat are sent to the Google Gemini service, which generates the replies. Google handles them under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not keep chat conversations in our own database. Please do not enter personal, financial or sensitive information in the chat. If you choose "Continue on WhatsApp", a short summary of your chat is placed in a WhatsApp message for you to send.

WhatsApp, email and phone. If you contact us this way, we receive the details you give us, including your phone number or email address. WhatsApp is operated by Meta and handles messages under its own terms.

Technical data. Our hosting and security providers process technical data, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver this website, keep it secure and prevent abuse.

Our legal bases

We use this information because it is necessary to respond to requests you make before entering a contract with us, and because of our legitimate interests in running and securing our business and replying to business enquiries. If you become a customer, we also keep records we are legally required to keep, such as for accounting and tax.

Who we share it with

We use service providers who process information on our behalf:

  • Resend, to deliver quote requests to our mailbox (EU region).
  • Google, to run the chat assistant.
  • Cloudflare, for domain name, security and content delivery services.
  • Hetzner, for website hosting (servers in Germany).
  • GoDaddy, which hosts our business email.

We may also share information with professional advisers and where the law requires. We do not sell personal information.

International transfers

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards recognised by UK law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to 12 months after our last contact with you. If you place an order, we keep order and invoice records for as long as the law requires (generally six years for tax records). Technical logs are kept for a limited period.

Cookies

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to its use, or to move it to another provider. Contact us at [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

This website is for businesses and is not aimed at children.
